Urgent prayer request

Hi Team. We are waiting insurance approval for Seth to have a Capsulendoscopy at UICH. The request was made yesterday and we hadn't heard anything. Jeff called the insurance company this morning and was told it could take up to 30 days! No way, that is unacceptable. He insisted something be done, and we were given a # to share with UICH and told to prompt the predetermined illness button. We shared the info and still no word.
This test is where Seth swallows a capsule with a camera in it. The camera takes pictures every 3 seconds. Seth would be wired like someone who has an EKG done and will wear a small computer to record everything. At the end of 8 hours they will return to the hospital and have everything, well almost everything removed. The doctor there will then read it and report her findings. This will take several days.
UICH only schedules 2 of these tests a week at the most and we need Seth to be in on the one next week.
Please pray we will get accepted and scheduled ...like now. Thanks so much, Vickie

So still waiting on test results...

from seth's doctors. He was feeling rough on Monday and missed half day of school. He is feeling better now. He went to his track meet in Bloomington yesterday and didn't get home until almost 10 last night. Seth got 2nd in the high jump and 3rd in the triple jump. He was off to school today too. maybe we are over the hump. I pray that's the case. He has another track meet on Thursday too. Seems to really enjoy it. No runnig though...it makes him sick???!!! Seth...having some health problems...again

Here is a picture of Seth in Korea a couple of weeks ago having the time of his life! Truly he loved the time he had with the kids in South Korea and would love nothing more than to return this summer. However Seth is having some health problems. He and I spent the day at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital where they ordered some tests be done stat. We left Peoria at 7 am arrived in Iowa City at 10 and he was being preped for the test at 1 and in recovery by 3:30,and got home last night around 8PM. It was acrazy day. Seth was experiencing some bad stomach pain from one of the scopes and is still very sore and is having trouble swallowing. We should get the pathology report on Monday or Tuesday. Please join us in praying for Seth, for the doctors to see clearly what the problems are and how to totally fix them. There are some appartent problems with the takedown reconstruction surgery that was done last January and April. He has inflamation and bleeding. He is having others issues too that haven't been diagnosed yet.

I'm Home

Hi all. I got home from Ca. on Tuesday evening. My flight was delayed a bit because of a bad utter on the original plane I was to fly on. I am so thankful for the prayers of my family and friends. On the way to the airport my close friend Karen called on my cell to tell me that as she was praying for me that morning she kept feeling as though she should pray for safety. Karen didn't even know that I was traveling that day. Anyway after sitting at the gate they told us of the problem and brought in another plane.
Another surprise that day was that I prayed as did others for comfort for me in the seats. With my long legs, it is very hard to get comfortable. Well when I got my boarding pass I was told I would get my seat assignment at the gate. When I did, I was assigned the first seat after first class which was and exit row and only had two seats there!!! It was the most comfortable flight I have EVER taken. Thanks to all that prayed. I love ya! God it SOOOO Wonderful!
Jeff picked me up at the airport in my new car. That was special too and then he took me to PF Chang's resturant in Shaumburg and after that was the Cheescake Factory to get... of course cheesecake. We had a great ride home and I was sure I would drop in bed. Nope, I couldn't sleep and was up until 2:30 AM. then Seth woke me at 5:00! I worked all day, got home around 8:30 PM. I finally made it to bed at 10:00 and I diidn't rise up once until 6:30 the next day.
Man travelling takes a lot out of you.
I loved every minute of it though.
We may be going back out in July. Jeff and maybe Seth will go this time. That is if Seth isn't in South Korea again.
Seth wants to go back this summer to work with the children at the Amerasian school. We are praying about it. The pastor has invited him to come. Jeff & I just have to check out a lot of the details. 'Til next time, Vickie
