Here are the girls one night last week after studying for hours and before getting into bed for the night. Olive is messing with So Heui, they had both had a bad case of the giggles just before I snapped the shot.

Our NEW Family Portrait

We are happy to announce we are sharing our home with two very lovely young ladies from South Korea. Olive Kim is on the left with the pink shirt and So Heui Kim (pronounced Sew Hee and not related to Olive) is on the right with the red, white and blue sweater. Both of the girls are Sophomores at Peoria Christian High School. They will be with us until July when they go home to be with their Korean families for 6 weeks before returning to the United States to start their Junior year. Hopefully they will rejoin our family then.
We have thoroughly enjoyed having the girls come and live with us. They are gracious, lovely, polite, charming, witty and loving. I hope many or you will be able to meet and spend some time with them . They spend the majority of the time in their bedrooms studying. Both of the girls are exceptional students as we just saw when report cards came out last Wed. I look forward to posting more of the growing Eubank family soon. Love to all, Vickie

Sorry about the poor quality of the photo. I think I need new batteries in my camera.

Nick turns 28 on January 3....

Wow it is so hard to grasp that Nick is 28 years old. I know, I know you have heard it a million times...but it is true. I feels like such a short time ago he was only 2 or 3 years old and now is a grown man with a family of his own. we had a nice time with having lunch together and Aubrey made a WONDERFULLY DELICIOUS chocolate peanut butter cake. Her are some shots of the party.
The first of course is of the birthday boy and his beautiful bride. The second is Noah and his girlfriend Ashley and last but not least is Seth and his girlfriend Cassie.
We had a lot of fun with Aub's parents, Becky and Gary, and her aunt and uncle, Marty and Diane.
Noah's birthday will be the next one. It's just around the corner in February.

Nick'e Birthday Party at Monical's Pizza

Pictures of Nick's Birthday Party are in the following order. 1. Amy (Aubrey's Sister) 2. I kinda skipped around a bit with the last few posts...

...and I missed posting our Christmas Eve pictures and a few from a visit with our nephew Zach who spent 3 days with us over New Years. Here we go. Picture #1 is of Seth and Zach messing around with me (being difficult to say the least). #2 Noah on Christmas Eve before opening gifts. #3 My sis Mary and her husband Chris, #4 Nick and Aubrey and #5 Seth and his girlfriend Cassie. We had a great evening. Mary, Aubrey and I collectively made the meal and then we opened gifts. Jeff, Seth, Cassie and me all headed for church. It was really nice. We got home about 1:00 am (not Cassie, her dad picked her up at RCC) and we headed for our beds straight away.We had a wonderful and very relaxed evening. One I will always remember.

Happy New Year 2009

Here it is New Years Day, January 1 2009. A brand new year. I am excited for '09 to reveal to us what God has had planned for us, all of us. I know it will be a year of big change. A year of rejoicing in our family and friends and drawing ever closer to those we love and cherish. Our life is purely about relationships and memories. That folks, is all we have, and it is all we will hold on to when those we love are not around anymore. Our relationships is key to who we are and what we are. Our #1 relationship, the one that will take us through eternity is the one relationship I pray you all have. That ONE relationship is the one we need to have with our Savior Jesus. He is our one true friend, one that will never leave you or forsake you. He will never leave you! Can you even wrap your brain around that one. Never, meaning never, infinite, never. In our brains we think of Never as being a really long time. It's not, it is forever. He is a friend to us, as we learn in the scriptures. In sign language the word FRIEND is expressed by interlocking the index finger and thumbs of both hands through each other to represent what appears to be links of a chain. Connected, locked together. What a perfect visual. I pray now that you will lock yourselves to Jesus and to your other true friends this year. Don't take your friends and family for granted in '09, but truly love on one another and spend time together. Enjoy and respect each other, appreciate each other and look at one another as being a wonderful gift from God to each other. I pray that this will be the year that you will decide for yourself to live life to the fullest and to live it with no regrets. We have done just that to end 2008 and have every intention of living it out in 2009. Please enjoy the pictures I post of our end to 2008. It was wonderful!!!
